Frequently Asked Questions

Sniffing around for answers? We’ve rounded up the most common questions from pup parents to help make training simple and stress-free.

We offer a variety of training programs for dogs of all ages and needs, including AKC Obedience Levels 1 & 2, a 3-Level ADA-compliant Service Dog Program, Therapy Dog training, and the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program for puppies 12 weeks and under. We also provide dog sitting for families who need trusted, reliable care while they’re away.

We use a balanced training approach that focuses on clear communication, structure, and building confidence. Every dog learns differently, so we tailor our methods to fit each dog’s needs. Our goal is to help dogs understand what’s being asked of them in a fair, patient, and consistent way while supporting both the dog and the owner throughout the process.

Pricing varies depending on the type of training your dog needs, such as obedience, service dog work, therapy dog training, or puppy programs. Because every dog and situation is different, we prefer to discuss pricing after reviewing your training application. Once we understand your goals, we’ll recommend the best program and provide clear pricing information before scheduling your first session.

We do our best to respond within 24–48 hours after receiving your application. If we’re in sessions or out working dogs, response times may vary slightly, but we always make sure to follow up as quickly as possible.

No, your dog does not have to be spayed or neutered to train with us. However, if your dog is in heat, we may need to reschedule certain sessions out of respect for the safety and comfort of all dogs in the program. If you’re unsure whether your dog’s condition will affect training, just reach out and we’ll be happy to help.

Yes — we do work with reactive dogs, nervous dogs, and dogs who struggle with behaviors like barking, lunging, fearfulness, or overexcitement. Each dog is evaluated individually to make sure training is safe and appropriate for everyone involved.

For truly aggressive cases (biting with intent, severe history, or safety concerns), we may recommend a specialized trainer depending on the situation, but we’re always happy to discuss your dog’s needs and guide you in the right direction.

For your first training session, please bring a secure leash, high-value treats, poop bags, your dog’s vaccine records, and a positive attitude. We’ll guide you through everything else from there!
